About the Role
The Coordinator plays a key role in the day to day provision of direct customer care in our disability services programs, which aim to promote the dignity of our customers and support them to develop their potential.
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
- Contributing to the development of individual NDIS plans and delivering programs designed to teach customers living skills, provide opportunities to maintain and enhance skills and to increase their capacity to access the community.
- Support the Team Leader and Regional Manager in the coordination and management of the disability services programs, including the allocation of resources appropriately to complement and enhance daily activities and the designing of customers activity programs.
- Assisting LiveBetter in achieving service and business excellence by supporting and participating in a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
- Rostering staff breaks according to structured program schedules, ensuring duty of care is maintained at all times.
- Provision of agreed support for the families of customers and assist customers to maintain contact with families, friends and advocates.
- Ensuring reports and other required documentation are completed in accordance with LiveBetter requirements.

Essential
- Certificate IV in Disability (or equivalent) and/or relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Possess a Disability Services prescribed notice (yellow card) or have proof that a Woking with Children (blue card) application with yellow card exemption has been lodged with Blue Card Services.
- Ability to engage with and manage the expectations of key stakeholders.
- An understanding of the NDIS and how this translates into service provision for individuals.
- Effective organisational skills with the ability to use initiative and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of the aims and objective of Disability Program activities.
- Sound computer literacy including the ability to undertake administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member, whilst enjoying a degree of responsibility in your position.
- Effective communication ability – including verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Current Australian drivers licence
You will also be required to pass a National Criminal Check and pre-employment wellness check (including drug and alcohol screening).
