The Role:

The purpose of the position is to provide a range of screening and assessment, co-mediation, early intervention and prevention, community education and support services for Centrecare in a professional and ethical manner that reflects the Ethos and practice of Centrecare program requirements. This is a part time position consisting of 45 hours per fortnight including 2 evening shifts.

A Few Specifics

  • Undertake screening and assessments, co-mediation and case management using approaches that are appropriate to program requirements.
  • Assess, identify and develop interventions where risk may be present, such as Family and Domestic Violence, child abuse, drug and alcohol and mental health.
  • Assess, identify and develop interventions that both acknowledge and offer solutions where power imbalance is a serious issue.
  • Conduct all practice with a child focused approach.

You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Social Sciences and a membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional association.
  • C class drivers licence.
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment and case management
  • Experience with domestic violence and family law
  • Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and evaluate personal and relationship education programs relevant to children.
