Family Violence Specialist Practitioners – The Orange Door (multiple roles)
About The Orange Door (otherwise known as Barwon Support and Safety Hub)
The Victorian Government has committed to establishing a network of Support and Safety Hubs across Victoria. The Orange Door is one of 5 new launch sites that will provide a new way of supporting women, children and young people experiencing or at risk of family violence and will change the way services work with women, children, young people, families and perpetrators of violence. The Orange Door team members are an integrated, collaborative team from The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre, Bethany Community Support, Colac Area Health and Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative. There are currently a number of great career opportunities for highly skilled, dedicated people who share our vision for a community free from sexual assault and family violence.
Family Violence Specialist Practitioners
As a Family Violence Specialist Practitioner, you will receive and manage all family violence referrals for women, children and young people to The Orange Door, including the delivery of client screening, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation and coordination of referrals.
About You
You will be a values driven person, motivated to make a difference and you hold the client at the centre of everything you do. You thrive working collaboratively in a dynamic, team environment. A highly qualified and experienced family violence specialist, you will have qualifications in social work or a related field and have experience providing professional, high quality case management, advocacy and support to clients.
