The Case Worker Step Ahead position is both exciting and challenging and offers applicants a wide range of opportunities to work with and support young people who are homeless.
About Wayss: Wayss is a leading and well respected provider of Homelessness and support Services to clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, based in the southern region of Melbourne.

The Program: The Step Ahead Program is a medium-term supported accommodation program for single young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It provides intensive case management to young people with high-level support needs who require assistance in overcoming barriers to housing and developing their independent living skills. The program aims to assist these young people to move onto long term, stable and secure housing with, ultimately, reduced support.
To succeed in this role you will be passionate about working with young people and have strong client assessment and engagements skills, be competent in the principles of case management together with advocacy, communication and research skills.
