About Women’s Health West

Women’s Health West provides specialist family violence services to women and their children. We also run prevention programs that promote equity and justice for women and girls in Melbourne’s west. Women’s Health West is one of Victoria’s only organisations that provides services and programs that encompass the family violence continuum - from primary prevention, to early intervention and response.

Our work has actively contributed to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of women and their children in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne since 1988. Due to an increase in demand for our services, Women’s Health West has experienced considerable growth over the past two years. We currently employ over 100 staff within both our main office in Footscray, and outpost locations across the western metropolitan region.

About the role

Currently Women’s Health West is looking to appoint fixed term part time Project Support Worker to join the Family Violence Regional Integration Coordination (FVRIC) team primarily located at Footscray. The Project Support Worker is responsible for the provision of administrative, operational and project support to the Principal Strategic Advisor, independent chair and WIFVC (including the governance group) in line with the priorities set out in the action plan and family violence reforms.

The successful incumbent will be required to maintain strong relationships with a variety of communities of interest in the integrated family violence service system, in particular to WIFV committee members, the chair and the governance group, while actively promoting the development of a positive organisational and workplace culture in line with the principles and expectations of WHW.

To be considered for the position you will require to hold a tertiary qualifications in social or community services discipline and experience in administration, project work or similar. We will consider less formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience.  Have excellent administrative support skills, including simple database development and ability to take minutes, Strong IT skills, including intermediate Word formatting, intermediate Excel, document design and production, and Outlook and web-based content management, preferably Wordpress. Have had experience in planning, implementing and evaluating small projects and some event coordination experience.

The role is paid at WHW EA 2017 Level 4, pay point 1, plus 9.5% superannuation.
