About the role
[We are looking for a quality EC Teacher who is energetic and fun-loving with drive, who will embrace our philosophy. You need to be a team player with excellent communication skills, initiative and a positive attitude who enjoys a laugh.]
What you would be doing
The main things that you would be doing include:
- Develop and deliver curriculum founded on the centre's philosophies whilst following the National Kindergarten Guidelines and childcare regulations and National Quality Standards.
- Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning
- Develop strategies to guide positive children's behaviour
- Build good, open communication with children, families and staff
- Observe and record children's growth, development and behaviour using electronic portfolios
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe
- Help develop teaching goals for the centre and its educators
- Undertake administrative tasks as requirred
Skills and experience
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Desire to work with children and demonstrated capacity to enhance their experiences
- Experience working in a childcare setting or in a similar role
- An approved ACECQA Early Childhood teaching qualification,preferable a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven willingness to learn and improve
- Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high quality care
- Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- A good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
