The Role

The Coordinator Pathways and Transitions will implement and manage the Connect Program and the Alternative Education Program. It is responsible for achieving and leading a quality service while ensuring all activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. These programs deliver a range of supports and programs to young people to assist them to become fully engaged citizens who will transition into further training/study or employment following the completion of school.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Experience in working with at-risk young people
  • Experience in leading teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation and negotiation skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of employment, education and training options for young people.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing urgencies
  • Strong time management, administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of external agencies supporting young people
  • The capacity to demonstrate empathy while enforcing boundaries
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive.
