The Role
The Coordinator Pathways and Transitions will implement and manage the Connect Program and the Alternative Education Program. It is responsible for achieving and leading a quality service while ensuring all activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. These programs deliver a range of supports and programs to young people to assist them to become fully engaged citizens who will transition into further training/study or employment following the completion of school.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will possess:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience in working with at-risk young people
- Experience in leading teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation and negotiation skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of employment, education and training options for young people.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing urgencies
- Strong time management, administrative and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of external agencies supporting young people
- The capacity to demonstrate empathy while enforcing boundaries
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive.
