This beautifully presented medium sized community based long day care centre is highly regarded in the local area. The rooms are light-filled and there's plenty of natural resources throughout the centre, including a large outdoor area, full of interactive and engaging apparatus. A play-based learning philosophy is embraced with a strong emphasis on school readiness and seamless transitions.
The role:
This is a highly attractive full-time permanent role at a community-based centre, with all the associated benefits of working at a non-profit. You'll have high levels of autonomy in your role and will be responsible for maintaining the positive and collaborative culture in the centre with a team of long-standing and enthusiastic educators who are willing to learn. Working in collaboration with a committee, you'll have the opportunity to implement your strong curriculum knowledge and pedagogy to inspire and engage children and educators alike. The Candidate:
To apply for this role, you will have ideally had at least 2 years experience in a similar role and must have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA approved equivalent. In addition, you will have an in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQS. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and must have a team focused philosophy, as well as looking to be part of the local community and build lasting relationships with families.
- Previous experience as Centre Director or Coordinator (2+ years)
- Diploma of Children’s Services or ACEQCA equivalent.
- extensive knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
- Current WWCC, First Aid, Asthma and CPR check.
