Business Development Executive (Domestic & International)

The Job Training Institute is seeking a savvy Business Development Executive for its City and Sunshine Campus to assist in the development and management of the sales and marketing functions at these campuses.

Skills and Experience Required: 

Demonstrable skills and experience/conversant with prospecting for business in VET sector/industry with emphasis on work places [nursing homes, aged care facilities, respite home, disability homes, child care centres], JSAs, Traineeships and other Employers. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Main duties:

-Develop new business relationships, negotiate and generate new business for JTI to agreed monthly targets and to increase year on year as provided in the KPIs schedule. Responsible for your own leads generation and appointments setting.

 -Actively and successfully conduct environmental scan to assess business opportunities, manage the sales process: lead generation; negotiation; closing deals.

-Your performance will be judged on new business you bring to JTI.

-You will be expected to spend 80% of your time out of the office in prospecting. Travel is a major factor and is predicted to be predominantly in suburbs of Melbourne (Sunshine, Western Suburbs, City Surrounds). From time to time, you may be required to visit our Dandenong Campuses as well.

-You will have individual responsibility for new business, and are expected to self-manage in terms of work schedule, time management and prioritization. Support is available from Career Consultant Team Leader and other senior managers for complex and large deals.

-You will manage and maintain a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is current using Salesforce CRM.  

-Carry out a thorough understanding of clients marketing objectives including their requirements so as to develop mutually beneficial approach to business development strategy.

-Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.

-You will effectively interact with other departments including administration, accounts and IT team when handing over campaigns ensuring you fully and correctly brief in all aspects of the sale.

- Be current with issues affecting the VET sector/industry through regular environmental scan and gather competitors intelligence.

-Ensure JTI remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients and trends in the market/industry. In liaison with other BDEs, conduct a situation analysis of JTI including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to assist in the development of a strategic plan for business development.

 -Participate in preparation of your department's sales and marketing plan, and stay abreast of your department's goals and objectives.

- Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities to JTI are explored  and captured.
