Your new company
This not for profit organisation has been supporting early childhood education and care in NSW for over 100 years. The organisation encompasses a variety of areas including Education, Children Services and Families and Early Intervention. An opportunity has become available for an Early Childhood Teacher for the preschool room.
The centre is located in Sydney’s Lower North Shore and accommodates 40 children a day, between the ages of 2-5 years old, and is invested in creating environmentally stable surroundings for children to play and grow. This not for profit centre achieved an Exceeding rating and promotes a play based learning style inspired by the EYLF and NQF, with a focus on the children’s holistic growth and education.
Your new role
You role as the ECT Room Leader for the preschool room will be focused on helping maintain the excellent reputation held within the local community and develop an inclusive school readiness program. Previous experience working in a similar role and using the EYLF to create engaging activities for children is essential, as well a professional and approachable demeanour. You will also be confident in mentoring and leading this small team, working closely with the experienced and supportive Director.
The wider organisation is dedicated to continuously improving their standards and quality, offering year round training for all educators. The well-established team within this service are highly professional and dedicated, so you will share their advocacy for early years education.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACECQA assessed Early Childhood Teacher degree
- Previous experience in developing school readiness program
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment
- Be an advocate for early years education
- Confident leading a small team of dedicated educators
