The College is seeking applications from qualified teachers registered with the Queensland College of Teachers for this permanent position commencing January 2019.
The Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning has a major responsibility to provide leadership and management in the development, innovation, implementation and evaluation for the curriculum from Year 5 – 12. This will include ensuring the delivery of quality curriculum programs and systems consistent with the national curriculum and its associated accreditation and accountability requirements. A commitment to excellence in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment is expected.
The Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning will:
- Develop the MSC Vision of the College as it applies in the area of curriculum.
- Ensure the smooth and effective administration and organisation of the College curriculum, including the timetable.
- Be conversant with the requirements of authorised State and National educational bodies.
- Provide quality information to parents with respect to student outcomes through a variety of mediums.
- Oversee subject departments.
