Pottsville Gumnuts Early Learning and Preschool is looking for a toddler collaborative lead educator.
Gumnuts is a 39 place long day care service.
We are happy to negotiate a nine day fortnight, 4 day week or full time.
We are looking for a caring, qualified Diploma (or studying towards) and hopefully creative educator to work collaboratively alongside your colleague.
Experience working with children is essential as is being passionate about early years education.
You will help guide and develop the social and communication skills of our toddlers and provide a safe and secure environment in which the child feels nurtured and loved. We are a small service where building and maintaining relationships with parents/guardians to further support children is paramount.
We are a Reggio Emilia inspired service so some background in this area would be ideal; otherwise a keen willingness to embrace this approach. A fundamental aspect of Reggio is providing a well maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment for families and children.
The responsibilities are those expected of any Diploma educator. However, we feel the defining criteria of enjoying your job is the environment of your workplace; so it is vital that you fit in and can work as a team and contribute to the friendly, caring atmosphere that we share at Gumnuts.

• current first aid and CPR
• Applicants must hold an early childhood qualification
• Current WWCC
• A high standard of verbal and written communication skills.
• A Strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
