A beautiful 4 year old centre in Mackay, licenced for 104, seeks a passionate and dedicated Director to lead and mentor their team!

The centre itself is state-of-the-art and purpose-built, with a big focus on outdoor play, natural environments and sustainability. Offering large rooms, fantastic outdoor areas, new resources and an impressive budget, the Centre Manager of this service will have complete freedom to run it as they see fit.

For the right individual, a relocation and travel allowance will be provided, wages are well above-award and there is a fantastic incentive scheme in place that offers up to 15% annual bonus on top of your salary!

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent
• Experience in a leadership role within an early childhood environment
• Sound working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications
• A Working With Child Check clearance (or completed the application process for a new Check)

YOUR ROLE

• Training, mentoring and developing a team of passionate and dedicated staff members
• Heavy focus on local culture, curriculum, environments and community engagement;
• Build practices of excellence through the curriculum & environment - i.e. high focus on sustainability and bringing the natural environment inside
• Managing the Centre's budget and administrative requirements
• Encouraging and developing partnerships between the long-day care, families and the community
• Role modelling behaviours and practices in relation to all NQF indicators
