Green Kids Early Learning provides a wholesome early learning environment centred around natural play and a more green, sustainable approach to the early years. We believe that all children deserve the freedom to "choose, learn, play and grow green". Our curriculum incorporates the children's interests and includes natural resources for their exploration and imagination.
We are searching for an Early Childhood Educator that has a passion for early years' education, for natural play and creative flair for a more natural environment. We have beautifully made spaces that allow for change and a more harmonious environment, indoors and outside.
We will consider applications from students that have completed 50% or more of a Bachelor of an Early Childhood degree, as well as graduates. Part-time and/or full-time positions will be considered. We cannot wait to meet you and welcome you to our home.
Duties will include:
following the VEYDLF and a Natural Play Curriculum observations and extensions of learning documenting child development via online portal and paper-based system
providing a play-based curriculum handling of progressive meal times maintaining the kindergarten rooms environment/setup.
Required skills/qualities:
* A "Creative" flair for natural play space
* A "love" of the great outdoors, nature & our world.
* An "Passionate" understanding of an emergent curriculum
* Leadership communication skills
* Adaptability to the times and changes in Early Years
* "Innovative" ideas and must be resourceful, good sound knowledge of computers, iPad, iPod
* Intermediate level skills in word processing applications, internet searching, Web based applications.
....& an absolute love of engaging & discovering with Children.
Applicants must also have, or be on their way to be obtaining, a Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Remuneration/Pay Rate: Wages and conditions . (Note: MA000077 - Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2010) We will be offering extended Non contact hours & Pd Development time for professional growth.
+ Plus mentoring support from our Service director Michelle who holds a Bachelor of Early Years Education & currently studying her Masters in Steiner.
