- This role can be based out of any of our Western NSW offices
- Locations: Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo or Parkes
- Travel thoughout region required - Full time role
- provide support for people with disability and their families to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (the Scheme);
- assist people with disability, their families and carers to build and pursue their goals for a good life, exercise choice and control and engage with the Scheme; and
- ensure that people with disability can be supported outside the Scheme by working with communities and mainstream services to build awareness and to become more inclusive of the range of needs and aspirations of people with disability
This role will be responsible for organising Local Area Coordination staff to attend initial training provided by the NDIA and for the delivery of subsequent training. Ongoing training and professional development of staff, including the management of personnel who do not meet the required competency will be the responsibility of the Workplace Trainer. The Workforce Trainer will ensure a culture of continuous learning and actively support a mobile workforce by providing structured and unstructured education, development plans and training.
The Workplace Trainer will be required to provide training within short timeframes whilst also provide training and education on best practice, continuous quality improvement and high quality services.
