One Tree Community Services is currently recruiting for a Room Leader to join our Wickham Children's Service, near Karratha, WA. This role will see you providing care and support to our Kindy / OSCH room, (which is combined). We are looking for an experienced Room Leader, (Certified Supervisor Certificate is essential) who is looking to take that next step in their career and step up in to a Leadership role, we will offer the relevant training and development. 

Our Wickham Children's Service has pet rabbits for the children to learn from, construction areas for children to explore, and quiet relaxing areas set up with soft cushions, soft lighting and scents of lavender.

The people of Wickham are very friendly. Everyone stops to say hello and are always there to lend a hand. Wickham is a mining town in the desert. It is known for its ancient landscapes, red earth, and vast mineral deposits.

Position requirements: 

• To design, implement and evaluate programs for children, which meet the Centre Philosophy and Policies, Government Regulations and Quality Assurance Principles.
• To ensure the environment in which children learn and play is clean, hygienic and safe;
• To communicate effectively with children, families and the wider community.
• To work as an effective team member.
• To follow Centre Policy and Government Legislation in providing a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff.
• To participate in the Operational Management of the service where required

Successful applicant must have:        

• Diploma in Children's Services or Early Childhood Teaching Qualification
• First Aid Certificate
• Demonstrated experience in the child care industry (if you require sponsorship you must have 3 years plus experience at Room Leader level).
• Sound communication skills, written and verbal
• Valid Working with Children Card (or ability to obtain)
• Medical certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Supervisors Certificate (or ability to obtain) an advantage
