Your new company
An exciting leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to take on the responsibilities of 2IC in a quality focused centre. Located in Hurstville, this centre is part of a small group of linked services, offering the opportunity for future career progression and taking on further responsibilities with head office or Director roles.
This beautiful purpose built centre has a large outdoor space, as well as spacious and natural classrooms and access to an abundance of sustainably focused resources. The centre has been open for over a year, but has already built an excellent reputation within the local community and is passionate about continuing this important focus and involvement.
Your new role
As the ECT you will be responsible for the preschool room and be confident with developing an engaging school readiness program. You will receive additional time off the floor to program for this important role, using the time to research new ideas as well as mentor and collaborate with your team of capable educators.
In addition to your ECT role, you will also be looking to take on additional responsibilities as the centre’s 2IC. You will work closely with the experienced Centre Director and Operations Manager to develop your team across all rooms. You will also have the opportunity to step into the Nominated Supervisor role when the Director is off-site, furthering your own career and professional development.

What you'll need to succeed
- ACECQA assessed Early Childhood Teacher degree
- Previous experience in Room Leader role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Advocate for earl years education
