The College of Health and Human Sciences drives the twin goals of teaching and research and offers a broad range of innovative programs that prepare students for a diverse range of career paths through study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The College is responsible for teaching and research in the fields of social and health sciences and practice such as social work, psychology, pharmacology, medical laboratory science, clinical and biomedical science, and exercise and sports science. The College offers a range of undergraduate, Honours and postgraduate programs that cater to the beginner student, students in pursuit of a health professional or research careers and students in pursuit of lifelong learning. The College has forged strong partnerships with the Menzies School of Health Research and Flinders University?s Northern Territory Medical Program.
As the Associate Professor in Social Work, you have oversight of the Bachelor of Social Work, including professional and University accreditation, program development, industry and community liaison, post graduate supervision and strategic development. Your responsibilities include the development and delivery of a portfolio of face to face and online course components as part of the Bachelor of Social Work program.
To be successful you require a relevant doctoral qualification, with significant practice experience, and experience in teaching in a professionally accredited social work program. A recognised research track record and expertise in at least one area relevant to the social work are essential. In addition to these responsibilities, the appointee will be expected to take on a significant leadership and administrative role in the College.
