The Academy of Information Technology (AIT) is a member of the ASX listed RedHill Education Group and is an established education provider based in Ultimo.  AIT has over 20 years’ experience educating thousands of students from all over the world who have gone on to build successful careers in the digital media, design and information technology space.  AIT has experienced significant growth over the last few years in line with its long term strategic plans.

The admissions team is a key contributor to the ongoing growth of the AIT business.  Reporting to operations and working closely with the sales team, education agents and partner institutions to ensure quality customer service and the admission of genuine students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and lead the admissions team to ensure a quality experience from application to admission
  • Identify, develop and implement ongoing process improvement to ensure applications and acceptances are processed within the agreed turnaround times
  • Audit student systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure all admissions processes are completed in compliance with relevant internal and legislative requirements
  • Assess applications in line with published entry requirements
  • Assess applicants at acceptance as a Genuine Temporary Entrant
  • Processing RPL requests
  • Ordering OSHC for students
  • Follow up on pending documents prior to arrival
  • Monitor visa outcomes prior to arrival
  • Monitor arrival status post arrival
  • Maintain student systems to reflect student status
  • Provide support for on campus events as required

 

Skills and experience we are looking for

  • 2 years experience in a higher education admissions role assessing applications
  • Experience using PRISMS, SMS and CRMs
  • Exceptional customer service and student-centred philosophy is critical to this position
  • Strong international student recruitment experience, particularly in dealing with agents
  • Knowledge of education policies and procedures for both higher education and vocational sectors
  • Experience in a multicultural environment
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Legal right to work in Australia
