Green Leaves Early Learning Centres is seeking an Educational Leader to be part of our early learning facility in Griffin. The successful applicants will work for Green Leaves Early Learning Centres. Green Leaves is a boutique Early Learning provider who in just a few years has successfully established a well respected and trusted brand throughout the Industry.  We have partnered with Westfield, Stockland and Mirvac among others to develop, build and operate state of the art facilities across Australia.

Griffin ELC is a part of a group that is setting the benchmark within the Early Years sector. We are committed to high-quality education and excellence in service delivery in everything we do.  The centre will cater for up to 129 children per day.

What we are looking for

  • Have a genuine interest in promoting children's learning and well-being. 
  • Knowledge of the Early Year's Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children at all times
  • Create positive relationships with team members, children and their families
  • Ability to demonstrate and approach tasks in a professional and proactive manner, using initiative and flexibility. 
  • Demonstrate great time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate professionalism in both written and verbal communication skills
  • Work collaboratively with other team members on a range of projects unique to this service
  • Support and work in partnership with the Centre Director

What you need for this opportunity

  • Hold a  Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Early Education
  •  Previous experience in Early Childhood settings, including strong ability in Documenting Children's Learning 
  •  Hold a PAID QLD Working with Children Check 
  •  Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Completed Child Protection Training
  •  Be available to work Monday to Friday 6:30am to 6:30pm

Highly Desirable Attributes of Applicants

  • Knowledge of the stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children
  • The capability to engage children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development
  • Fully certified qualifications in area of expertise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Understanding of the National Quality Standards 
  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and professional development
  • Willingness to learn and inspire others to continue their learning journey
  • Previous experience as a 2IC/Lead Educator desirable but not essential
