About Us:
AFTRS is Australia’s Screen and Broadcast School, established to fuel and empower Australian creativity and storytelling. AFTRS is consistently rated as one of the top film Schools in the world.
You will play an important role in the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) Industry & Short Course team, as well as helping support the next generation of talented story tellers and content creators.
We are seeking expressions of interest from industry practitioners who would like to work with us in the following areas:
Corporate training
Experienced trainers and practitioners with expertise in; Presentation, Interviewing, Storytelling and Communication, Digital Content, Selling and Pitching and Leadership training.
Educators and Industry Professionals with experience in teaching; Design Thinking, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Short Courses
Industry professionals who are multi-skilled and interested in teaching. If you can shoot, edit AND direct – in any/all genres and platforms, we want you! Previous teaching experience is not essential, but you must have the ability and interest in teaching from a set curriculum to a very broad range of students.
We are also interested in hearing from you if you have the above skills and would like to work in our Youth Program (i.e. teaching 9 – 18 year olds)
Industry Skills program
We are looking for Industry Professionals with expertise in specific areas who would like to work in the development and delivery of our new Industry Skills Program. Employment will be on a casual basis. Prior teaching experience and exposure to online learning is helpful here but not essential. Please submit an EOI for the industry Skills Program if you have expertise in the following areas:
Cinematography
Editing
Production Design
Production Management
Colour Grading
Digital/Interactive Producing
Script Assessment
Episodic Writing
Radio and Podcasting
Location Sound
Producing/Screen Business
Leadership
Selection Criteria
- Current experience in related discipline
- Ability to teach and motivate students
- Availability for casual work on an ad hoc basis
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required from time to time.
