Kubby House Child Care Centre currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Manager to lead their team of educators, based in Cobar NSW. The successful candidate will be a driving force behind moving our centre in a new direction.
In this diverse role, you will be required to work Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm and you will be responsible for the smooth operation, as well as the financial and commercial success of the Kubby House Child Care Centre.
Key responsibilities with this role include:
- Providing leadership and direction for the Centre, including its staff and its programs;
- Ensure learning and development is aligned with the EYLF and NQF;
- Recruitment, training and development of the team;
- Ensuring business and/or operational plans, centre policies and budgets are developed and implemented; and
- Liaising with the Management Committee regarding all matters concerning the Centre, its staff and operations.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven managerial experience and the confidence to lead a team;
- Administration experience;
- Sound oral and written communication skills;
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain);
Desirable Criteria:
- Current First Aid Certificate;
- Relevant ECT qualifications;
- Diploma in Children’s Services (or willingness to obtain. Training may be offered to the right applicant);
- Understanding of the EYLF and NQF.
Experience within a child care centre will be highly regarded but not essential. We are looking for a natural leader with experience, passion and drive for managing a small business.

Kubby House Child Care Centre is a community based centre that operates Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5.30pm, to provide long day care, to the children and families of Cobar. The Centre is run by a Management Committee consisting of parents, interested persons from the community and the Centre Manager; Kubby House Child Care Centre is fully accredited and is licensed for 31 long day care places.
