We are seeking a creative, forward thinking and dynamic leader committed to providing students with high quality learning opportunities and experiences within an authentic Catholic community.

The Principal Leader in a Catholic school works collaboratively with teachers, students and families to respond to the needs of learners in today's world. Learning in this environment requires students and staff to be connected locally and globally. This includes forging partnerships with academics, tertiary institutions, businesses and the wider community.

Selection Criteria:

• Four years professional qualification in education and relevant Master’s Degree
• Free from any impediment to full acceptance by the Church in lifestyle, witness and modelling
• A deep understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice, and demonstrated application of that knowledge in leading school improvement
• Understanding and experience of an evidence-based approach to school improvement
• Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams and effective relationships across a school community
• A proven record of building Catholic culture
• A capacity to challenge and lead a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and its teaching, aligned with the system's strategic intent
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of current and emerging technologies as enablers for contemporary learning and teaching
• Capacity to engage and influence the educational agenda at a system, national and international level

The support of a parish priest is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Position is due to commence: 15 October 2018
