The UTS Student Administration Unit is recruiting for a Coordinator, Faculty Services. The Coordinator, Faculty Services (FSC) will be a key point of contact and liaison between SAU (Student Administration Unit) and UTS Faculties. The FSC will ensure that each Faculty is supported and briefed appropriately and that they are making the most from their administrative relationship with SAU.

The successful applicant will be responsible for consulting with Faculty stakeholders in the planning of student administration requirements, including tasks or projects they wish to undertake. The Coordinator, Faculty Services must help deliver strategic, client-centric solutions and services; collaborate with colleagues in SAU to deliver seamless, consistent, high-quality, and customer-focused services to students and support process improvements.

The FSC supports the alignment of student administration activities in SAU with the Faculties' strategic objectives and priorities and will work closely with the SAU Management team (SAU MG) to resolve operational or procedural challenges. The Student Administration Unit (SAU) is part of the Corporate Services Division and supports the UTS Vision to be a world-leading university of technology by facilitating all aspects of the student lifecycle - from enquiry to graduation.

Main duties/responsibilities:

•Provide expert advice on interpreting policy, legislative, compliance and regulatory requirements related to student administration; including analysis of the impact of changed requirements to existing services, processes and procedures
•Collaborate with key Faculty stakeholders and relevant specialist SAU teams to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies aimed at improving all stages of the student life cycle within your client group.
•Project manage the delivery of curriculum transition arrangements and ensure that quality control measures are implemented.
•Support the strategic Faculty partnerships by providing top quality advice, facilitating effective knowledge management and transference, providing change management support to enable implementation of projects.
•Assist in the identification of continuous improvement and innovation opportunities; this may include preparation of business cases, active participation on various working working parties and committees.

Main skills/experience required:

•High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including excellent conceptual, consultation, and negotiation skills.
•Ability to be flexible with a high customer and quality service focus and high order skills in influencing for a positive outcome.
•Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, prioritisation and the ability to identify emerging issues and root causes, and contribute to continuous improvement in operations, systems, policy, processes and service delivery.
•Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, develop networks, facilitate support and engagement and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
High level organisational skills with demonstrated success in project and operations planning, and a commitment to evidence based practice and continuous improvement.
•Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain critical stakeholder relationships, applying tact and diplomacy to resolve issues.
•Understanding of student administration policies with a demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse a range of governance requirements and socialise complex information to ensure stakeholders are well informed.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $87,414 to $96,701 pa (HEW 7)

This role attracts 9.5% superannuation in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This appointment will be made on a full time basis for a fixed term of 12 months.
