YMCA Bridgetown Early Learning Centre is a service where the staff provide natural learning environments for children. The children learn through exploratory play and learning experiences which reflect the importance of early childhood and all learning areas. Bridgetown is a small centre with many spaces for children to play safely and securely
About the Role
YMCA WA is currently seeking a permanent fulltime Director for our Bridgetown Early Learning Centre. The successful candidate will possess visionary leadership skills and be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of the children and families of the local community. They will also be committed to ongoing community liaison and network participation, building positive relationships within the community and promoting the centre at every opportunity
Duties
- Oversee the day to day operation of the centre
- Uphold the NQS, NQF, Early Years Learning Framework and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2012) as well as the implementation of YMCA policies and procedures
- Manage centre programming through the YMCA Approach to Learning
- Lead, develop and support all centre staff and assist with the recruitment of staff as required
- Maintain budgeted attendances, expenses, accurate financial reports and monthly reports
Skills and Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent from a recognised institution
- Approved Supervisor and HLTAID004 First Aid Certificates
- Experience working in an early childhood setting in a similar role
- Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012 and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial and administrative functions of the service
- Experience in leading and managing a team of staff
- Extensive knowledge of Child Protection and its implications for the care and protection of children
- National Police Certificate and Working with Children card
