UTS International is looking for a motivated, team player to join the International Recruitment Team to assess onshore and offshore applications from international students from UTS pathway providers and to assist with management of the international scholarship scheme.

UTS International supports and implements the UTS International strategy and its broader mission of internationalisation. This involves achieving UTS targets for recruitment of international students; promoting student mobility; facilitating international relationship building; and provision of services to the university as a whole.

Main skills/experience required:

• Demonstrated experience in assessment of applications from international students for admissions to an Australian Higher Education institution
• Proven capacity to work on a diverse range of tasks requiring excellent problem-solving abilities
• Proven capacity to interpret complex policies and procedures
• Experience in the Australian higher education system and an understanding of administrative systems and admission and enrolment processes as they relate to international students in a university environment.
• Ability to set goals, prioritise, work within tight time constraints and meet conflicting deadlines in a high pressure environment
• An ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
• Commitment to customer service and cross cultural communication skills
• Strong  proficiency  in  the  use  of  Microsoft  Office  (Word,  Excel,  PowerPoint  and  Outlook), student management systems such as PRISMS and demonstrated ability in creating and managing Excel spreadsheets

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $68,290 to $78,125 pa (HEW 5)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, childcare centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 24 months.
