• To ensure the environment will foster safety, security, positive communication and relationships, be challenging and warm and friendly.
• To build and create a positive, trusting two way relationships with parents and care givers.
• To act as a facilitator in a leadership role of positive role modelling, mentoring, guidance and support all educators.
• Manage the Centre effectively by ensuring educators demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, allocating resources, ensuring a safe caring learning environment for the children and liaising effectively with Educators and parents.
• Determine a Responsible person for the service requirements.
• Ensure the safety, health and well being of children attending education and care services.
• Improve the educational and developmental outcomes for children attending
• Promote continuous improvement in the provision of quality education and care services.
• Establish a system of national integration and shared responsibility between participating jurisdictions and the commonwealth in the administration of the National Quality Framework.
• Improve public knowledge, and access to information, about the quality of education and care services.

• Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care and School Care.
• Extensive knowledge of the NSW Early Years Learning Framework and oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of the program.
• Extensive knowledge on preparing Quality Improvement Plan.
• Extensive knowledge on children regulations.
• Lead and evaluate the Centre through the Assessment rating.
• Demonstrate written, computer literacy and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to manage staff effectively.
• Work in partnership with families and staff.
• Knowledge on Child Protection and current issues in Children’s Services.
• A current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
• A current Working with Children Check
