Do you have a passion for childcare? Want to be part of an integral part in the learning and development phase of young children? 

 

If so, Moonee Valley City Council is seeking a passionate, eager and motivated Diploma educator to join the Family & Children’s Department to provide education and care for young children over our 5 childcare centres. Within this position, you have the opportunity to join a dynamic team allowing you to grow, develop and lead staff in the forefront of childcare services.  

 

Some key elements to this role include:

  • Plan and implement a play-based program that works within guidelines of National Quality Standards, Victorian and National Early Years Learning Frameworks and meets the individual developmental strengths, interests and needs of each child in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. 
  • Ensure supervision is active, adequate and efficient at all times in order to maintain the children’s care and safety
  • Work in collaboration with Educators to assist in the provision of inclusive and culturally appropriate children’s education and care programs.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent combined with a demonstrated knowledge and experience of child development and contemporary approaches to the delivery of children’s programs. You will also possess an understanding of Victoria’s Child Safe Standards and how educators apply them in daily practice.
