Rise & Shine Kindergarten are a family owned and run business with 3 other services in Sydney and 1 in Maroochydore QLD. Rise & Shine Kindergarten Summer Hill is a brand-new service that opened in January 2018. This outstanding purpose built service has been described as 'breathtaking' and 'like a resort' by our team, children and families.
Consisting of 2 Preschool rooms with their own art studio, their own alfresco outdoor dining room, a small group break out 'smart start' room, a cooking room, and the most amazing 2 level outdoor space - our facilities reflect our philosophy of the environment being the 3rd teacher.
We currently have an amazing opportunity for a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in a leadership role. This position will be Preschool Manager to oversee our Preschool section of the centre, and would be the perfect position for someone seeking the next step in their career.
Key responsibilities:
- Guiding and mentoring the other two Early Childhood Teachers and Diploma in the Preschool in providing a fun and engaging educational program for the children in our care.
· Maintaining positive and open professional relationships with current families.
· Implementing best practice as it relates to the National Quality Standards.
· Being an inspiring and passionate Educational Leader for the service and working closely with the Centre Director in leading our curriculum.
- Being a kind and compassionate Early Childhood educator who has warm, engaging interactions with the children.
The successful candidate will:
· Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ECT) or equivalent approved by ACECQA.
- Have minimum 2 years experience working in a Preschool room
· Hold a current first aid certificate, CPR & have or be willing to obtain asthma & anaphylaxis training
· Have a current working with children check number and approved child protection qualifications
- Be passionate about Early Childhood Education
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Solid understanding and proven track record of implementing EYLF and NQF.
· Experience in using Smart Board or Promethean Board would be highly desirable.
