Situated in an easily accessible location in Melbourne's CBD, the institute is looking for a highly-motivated and dedicated Early Childhood Education Training Coordinator to lead the Institute's Early Childhood department.

Your new role
The purpose of this role is to provide educational leadership to ECEC trainers and assessors as well as coordinating and supervising the vocational educational and business activities companies ECEC program(s), allocated to them. The Coordinator has a key role in assuring the quality of the companies academic programs and facilitating student success.
Position responsibilities

  • Ensure ECEC program operations are conducted in accordance with compliance requirements
  • Manage ECEC program operations and ensure they are satisfactorily conducted to maintain organisational operations
  • Monitor student activity and ensure they are provided with support for satisfactory course progress
  • Ensure the development of programs is upheld in a team environment to foster a culture that embraces continuous improvement and best practice
  • Monitor ECEC department staff activity and provide them with ongoing support and assistance to ensure efficient and effective performance



What you'll need to succeed

  • Diploma level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years in training and assessing students
  • Minimum 1 year experience in coordinating programs
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing staff
  • Significant industry experience will be well regarded
  • General basic level capability of utilising the computer, therefore are able to learn and understand how to use new software/programs at a basic level
  • Learner Management System (Moodle) experience is preferable
  • Student Management System (RTO Manager) experience is preferable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced ability to multitask and prioritise multiple responsibilities
  • Basic ability to easily mix well with others and satisfactorily carry out tasks in liaison with colleagues
  • Ability to maintain a professional and friendly persona during encounters with stakeholders
  • Attention to detail
