Australian College of Applied Business (ACAB) is one of the progressive Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) based in Canberra, ACT. The college is currently offering certificate to diploma level courses in business to domestic students and corporate clients, with a plan to extend the scope of registration in the near future.

The college is awaiting registration as a provider of educational services to overseas students (CRICOS) and looking to expand its team to support the new operations.

We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified trainers and assessors who have proven experience in their respective fields to join our academic team;

To be successful in this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/TAE40116) or higher;
  • A Diploma level or higher qualification in business or management related domains/fields;
  • Recent or on-going professional/vocational experience in the relevant areas/sectors;
  • Knowledge of the VET sector, The National Code 2018, and an understanding of academic compliance requirements in an RTO environment, including learning support;
  • Ability to plan and deliver training sessions and organise training and learning resources;
  • Ability to plan, conduct and mark/grade assessments as per competency requirements;
  • Experience in working with culturally diverse clients/audiences, including international students;
  • High level communication, presentation and training skills;
  • High level computer skills including the Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Sound knowledge of training packages, packaging rules, and unit competency requirements;
  • Sound knowledge of the RPL process;
  • Hands on experience in reviewing and updating assessments as per training package requirements.
