About the business
The Apprentice Employment Network NSW & ACT represents Group Training Organisations (GTOs) registered in NSW &/or the ACT. Our objective is to work with our members to create additional high quality apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.
Group Training is a training and employment arrangement where a GTO, employs apprentices and trainees under an Apprenticeship / Traineeship Training Contract and places them with host employers.
About the role
This pilot program aims to generate 100 ASBAs (School Based Traineeships) annually that will be hosted by ACT Government Departments, ACT Public Schools or Australian Government Departments in the ACT.
Your role will be to work closely with Skills Canberra, the ACT Education Directorate and locally registered GTOs to create, monitor and support these ASBAs (School based traineeships)
Based in Canberra you will responsible for the implementation of the pilot program supported by the Executive Officer based in Sydney.
The role is initially for twelve months with the scope for it to be extended into a second year pending the success of the program.

Skills and experience
- Sound knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Group Training
- Knowledge of ACT Apprenticeship/Traineeship System
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and administration skills
- Project/Program Management experience
- Current Drivers Licence
