One Tree Community Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our Millars Well Centre based in Karratha, WA. This is one of our largest centres, located in a purpose built building with three outdoor spaces for the children to explore, play and learn.

As an Early Childhood Teacher for One Tree Community Services, you will be passionate about delivering a high quality, creative, positive learning environment and facilitate child-directed learning, in line with the NQS & ELYF. One Tree Community Services is a not-for-profit organization that supports Community Services and Child Care Centres throughout Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Victoria.
 
About Karratha:
Karratha is a large town and is the main administration centre for many business and government departments in the Pilbara region. It offers large shopping centres, supermarkets, specialty and boutique stores. There are plenty of sporting clubs and associations to join as well. Karratha offers great fishing, snorkeling and diving with plenty of beautiful beaches to enjoy.
 
Early Childhood Teacher role:

• To design, implement and evaluate programs for children, which meet the Centre Philosophy and Policies, Government Regulations and Quality Assurance Principles;
• To ensure the environment in which children learn and play is clean, hygienic and safe;
• To communicate effectively with children, families and the wider community;
• To work as an effective team member;
• To follow Centre Policy and Government Legislation in providing a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff;
• To participate in the Operational Management of the service where required;
• To provide email and phone support as an ECT to other One Tree Services as required.

About you:

• Early Childhood Teaching Qualification
• Supervisors Certificate; or willing to obtain
• Minimum 1-2 years experience as an ECT / Room Leader
• Solid understanding of the EYLF
• Working with Children's Card or willing to obtain
