Permanent Early Childhood Educator Job located in Tennant Creek
Your new company
Based in Tennant Creek, an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join a local organisation on a permanent basis. Your new Role You will be working for a centre that provides a high quality education based childcare service to children and families. You will be responsible for facilitating all activities designed to enhance early childhood learning based on the needs and interest of the individual children. You will be a proactive person who is passionate about children’s development and able to customise programs based on children’s needs and learning behaviours. This role will also require basic cooking, cleaning and administration duties to support the centre. This role will also require you to develop strong relationships with the children and families at the centre in order to support and partner with families and the communities and support the organisations mantra of creating a safe, supporting and informative environment. This position is based in Tennant Creek, NT and will require the successful candidate to reside locally.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate the following and have the following qualifications:
- Australian citizen or have unlimited work rights within Australia
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is essential
- Recent experience in supervising children in an approved childcare service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills and the ability to collaborate with other services
- Demonstrated cultural competency and understanding of life on a remote Aboriginal community.
- Valid NT driving license and Ochre card
