About Us
Rise & Shine Education is a growing, vibrant Early Education company who currently operate 3 Early Education Services in Sydney and 1 in Maroochydore QLD. With more centres currently in the planning stage for 2018/2019, we are seeking someone passionate to join our Operations team and focus on the development of our crew and company culture. We are passionate about providing quality and excellence in the Early Childhood sector and we know our crew are vital to achieving this. The aim of this position is to provide excellence in the administration of our recruitment, workforce and performance services to our business, as well as supporting the Operations team in management of our services.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Operations Crew & Culture Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, selection and appointment of passionate educators to join our wonderful Childcare Centres crew, including pre-employment screening and all relevant background checks. You will implement probation and performance frameworks; and produce and ensure the accuracy of relevant documentation and contract preparation. You will oversee traineeships, training and development plans for all staff to ensure they are reaching professional goals and standards. This role will also entail some administration tasks, marketing, drafting of presentations and company events coordination. This will be a diverse role which will be a mix between Operations and HR functions, working with the management and operations teams on as well as supporting Centre Directors and educators at the centres in implementing best practice and our quality educational curriculum. Key to this role will be your ability to plan, organise and manage multiple projects concurrently, whilst maintaining focus on attention to detail and complete confidentiality. This role would suit someone who is enthusiastic, organised and driven.
This position is a full time role, however hours are quite flexible.The successful candidate will work out of our Sylvania, Carlton and Summer Hill offices depending on the needs of the business. Occasional travel may also be required to our Maroochydore service in QLD.
Salary will be based on the level of experience the candidate has, ranging from $120-$140K including Super, Bonuses and Company Benefits.
The Person
The Operations Crew & Culture Manager will possess the following knowledge, experience and qualifications:
- Be supportive of the ethos and values of the organisation
- Previous Early Education Operations or Director experience (minimum 5 years)
- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education: Diploma or ECT
- Current working with children check
- Sound understanding of the national regulations and law, EYLF & NQF
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and a well ordered approach to work
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently where required.
- Experience dealing with people at various levels
- Successful delivery of outstanding operational, pedagogy and financial performance across early childhood centres.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office
- Be a great mentor to our crew, and have a positive and supportive approach to managing people
