About You
You are an experienced trainer with a passion for delivering fitness & nutrition content. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and have an ability to motivate those around you. Working in a team environment is second nature to you, however you are self-motivated and have the ability to drive your own workload and prioritise your tasks. Attention to detail is one of your priorities and you ensure everything you complete is accurate.
About the Role
Reporting to the Education & Vocational Training Unit Manager you will be responsible for facilitating the training of prisoners in the area of fitness and nutrition. You will deliver outstanding training and workshop activities that engage and meet learning objectives that will contribute to the overall performance of the Education and Vocational Training Department. You will be expected to fit in with the teaching and assessment schedule already developed and continue the uninterrupted delivery of education to prisoners. You will also support the development of any new resources for training when required to ensure continual improvement within the team. Your ability to work closely with other education facilitators is essential. You will also be expected to take part in the induction of new prisoners to the site.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
- Certificate III Fitness
- Proven ability to deliver content to adults
- Demonstrated ability to relate positively to at risk groups
- Qualification &/or experience with nutrition is desirable
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for delivering content
