The role

We are recruiting for an experienced Early Childhood teacher who values making a difference in children's lives. The position is for a 3 or 4 year trained teacher (DEGREE QUALIFIED) with option to work with any age group in our large long day care centre.

The Centre

Located in the Meadowbank/Ryde, an inner city suburb of Sydney, our service Meadowbank Multipurpose Learning Centre is a long-day care where children are encouraged to belong, play, discover and learn. 

The impact you'll have

  • To assist the Nominated Supervisor in leading and working as a member of a co-operative team in order to provide an appropriate educational program for the children within care.
  • To ensure that the QIP is maintained and that quality improvement is integral to the services progress.
  • To ensure that the regs and policies are implemented in providing appropriate care and educational programs for children.

What we're looking for?

Essential:

  • Working with Children Check
  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Recognised Early Childhood teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood 
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and how they apply in your state
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) 
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children.

Desirable:

  • A current Senior First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA
  • Current approved Asthma Management training
  • Current approved Anaphylaxis Management training
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
