About the business and the role
Circle Music is a privately-owned music academy and studio based in Botany. Circle Music has approximately 130-150 students. Our philosophy is "Learn to Play" with the emphasis on "play".
Circle Music offer music lessons for people of all ages and abilities, from pre-school through to adults – beginner levels through to advanced.
Piano lessons, guitar lessons, drum lessons, singing lessons, ukulele lessons and more are all available and taught privately in our custom-built teaching studios.
The Circle Music Academy teachers are all dedicated working professionals currently engaged in the Sydney live music scene and working within the music industry in many vast and varied forms.
Our music teachers come from a variety of different backgrounds and have experience in all forms of performance - from the live stage and concert halls all the way through to musical theatre and TV.
At Circle Music we also have a project studio and performance space. Audio and video projects, band rehearsals, anything and everything can be accommodated in our purpose-built, fully sound-proofed studio and live performance space.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Circle music is looking for a new teacher/tutor to join the team. Primarily we are looking for a new guitar teacher and it would be an added bonus if you could also teach piano at a beginner to intermediate level. Teaching times would primarily be in the after-school to early evening period Mon-Thu and possibly on Saturdays. Bookings are taken and lessons allocated by our studio coordinator, Matt.
Skills and experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a positive attitude who has had previous teaching and tutoring experience. Our primary need is for a guitar teacher but being able to teach beginner and above piano would be a bonus.
It is important you enjoy working with kids (as well as adults). You will need to have a current Working with Children check before you start work.
