This is incredible opportunity exists for a dynamic professional to join the leadership hierarchy and make a real difference in the community of Bundoora. Positioned as Director, the candidate will manage the BRAND NEW 130 place Long Day Care Centre near La Trobe University. Our state of the art environment is designed to nurture the most curious child and Educator, hence only those serious about making a real difference in the community will be considered.

Reporting directly to the State Manager on all operational initiatives, the candidate will oversee the day to day operations of the Centre, mentor Educators in their daily practices and promote positive relationships with children, families and the community. The candidate must be highly organised, possess strong leadership characteristics and successfully monitor all financial activities.  An important component of this role is supporting Educators engage in critical reflective practice and deliver programs according to a nationally recognised curriculum, as well as the Paisley Park framework. The candidate will have an approachable demeanor, display a positive attitude at all times and focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

In order to be considered for this role the candidate will be Bachelor qualified, or experienced Diploma with extensive experience having managed a team at Director level for a minimum of 5 years. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as extensive knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standards and State Based School preparation knowledge.  Due to the nature of the role, flexibility of working varied and long hours is advantageous, as well as knowledge of the local community context.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or experienced Diploma
  • Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma
  • Knowledge of EYLF, NQS and WH&S Policies
  • Child Protection qualifications and WWCC
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong Leadership qualities
  • Australian Residency
  • Drivers Licence
