We are looking for a Student Services Officer with a strong background in customer service and RTO administration. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, thrives in busy environments, organised and has positive communication skills.

With campuses on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane and courses spanning from 1 day to 2 years full time across multiple creative disciplines (such as fashion, interior design, photography, make-up, styling, beauty and visual arts), we are a growing business with a dynamic team with a passion for helping students achieve their dreams. 

The Role

You will be working with the Student Services/Administration team on the front desk, handling enquiries providing advice and guidance to prospective students, supporting them from application through to enrolment and providing customer service during their study with us. You enjoy interacting with students and seeing their skills develop throughout their study.

You will liaise with our marketing team to ensure effective student recruitment through identifying and actively seeking out marketing opportunities, relationship building with key stakeholders and participation at events and promotional activities. You are a confident communicator and enjoy giving careers presentations to groups as well as relationship building one to one.

As an experienced sales/student recruitment officer you will have hand in developing the student recruitment and sales follow up processes to achieve sales targets whilst ensuring the students' suitability for the course in alignment with their goals.

Your Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet visitors in a professional, courteous and welcoming manner
  • Maintain a level of knowledge of all institute offerings, learning the details of courses, career paths, case examples and faculty specialties so that you have a knowledge base to use in student interaction
  • Establish and maintain relationships with students
  • Promote the Institute's offerings through representation at careers expos, school visits/talks, job network agencies, industry events, information evenings and other forums, including after hours.
  • Conduct student application interviews, provide career advice and support students through the enrolment process
  • Coordinate the Correspondence learning experience
  • Provide accurate and efficient administration support from enrolment entry to certificate generation.

Your Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in an RTO is highly desired
  • Self-starter who is results orientated
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in our students needs
  • High level of professionalism, punctuality and personal presentation
  • Flexibility of extended working hours due to attendance at events and institute functions
  • Be social media savvy
  • Positive, self motivated and a team player – always willing to learn and grow
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use all programs within the Microsoft suite (Including PowerPoint)

Desirable

  • Experience using JobReady RTO is of benefit
  • Relevant work experience in a tertiary student support environment or demonstrated relevant experience in a career advisory role, or;
  • Experience in sales, marketing and social media
