A growing Australian wholesaler are looking for an IT Manager to join their business and take full ownership of IT within the organisation and oversee some exciting implementation projects. The role will be responsible for managing a number of vendors who provide services which include; telephony, CRM implementation, ERP implementations and infrastructure support. You will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise these implementations and be responsible for the maintenance of the company’s computing needs. You will also deliver training to Senior Management on CRM, ERP and Data Warehouse systems.  

Responsibilities & Duties

• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT operations

• Manage relationships with 3rd party software providers including communicating job expectations and appraising their performance

• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures

• Overseeing delivery of major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages

• Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget

• Ensure that staff are trained on all relevant IT systems both when joining the company and at regular intervals throughout their employment

Requirements & Abilities

• Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience

• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems

• Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

• Able to effectively communicates relevant IT-related information to peers and colleagues

• Continually seeks opportunities to increase staff satisfaction regarding IT

• Able to responds/acts on upper-management direction
