Our client is one of Melbourne's leading design and manufacturing businesses for residential, multi-residential and commercial projects. This Australian owned company is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to be based in the Western Suburbs.
What the roles entails:
This is a very busy role, with responsibility for: planning, scheduling and allocating jobs to a large team of fitters and sub-contractors. You will work by geographical areas to assign work to suitable sub-contractors for each job on a daily basis.
To be successful you must:
- Have experience in a logistics coordination/scheduling role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at times
- The ability to conceptualize and assign appropriate skill sets to each job
- Be able to liaise efficiently with Site supervisors, Customer Service, Subcontractors, Installers and Production on a daily basis
- Have the ability to meet deadlines with excellent time management skills
- Sound organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be resilient and flexible with very strong multitasking skills
