Our client is a leading supplier and manufacturer of a large range of domestic and light industrial steel buildings.Specialising in make to order designs we have a vacancy for an Operations Manager based our at Head Office in Brisbane's Southside.
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for getting the best possible production levels by optimising and automating both the plant and production team.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing effective management to the production teams;
- Managing production schedules, ensuring DIFOT is met;
- Driving continuous improvement, product compliance and manufacturing efficiency;
- Ensuring all production staff are appropriately inducted, trained and retrained on an ongoing basis;
- Ensuring compliance with WH&S principles by driving a culture of safety within the production environment;
- Managing the dispatch team;
- Continually developing our quality management systems;
- Leading daily communication and process improvement meetings.
To be successful you will have:
- Previous roll forming experience a must
- Proven experience in quality production skills within the manufacturing industry;
- Experience in developing and monitoring production KPI's;
- Previous experience in continuous improvement methodologies, in particular applying root cause analysis and process improvement;
