Maxima in conjunction with Australia Post are delivering Brighter Futures Work Skills Program in Melton, which will provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers with the skills and experience needed to assist them in gaining entry to the work force.
The Program
A structured program that offers options for different divisions within the eCommerce Delivery Network at Australia Post.
8-12 weeks duration including inductions and training.
Participants are employed by Maxima Group Inc (the program provider).
Participants work in entry level roles throughout the placement with a view to securing a Postal Delivery Officer or Mail Processing role at Australia Post upon completion.
Participants have a buddy within their team to assist them throughout the duration of the program including a mentor within Australia Post for extra support during the program.
All successful candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment screening. Screening checks include a National Police History Check and medical assessment which includes being able to lift up to 16kg of mail on a repetitive basis.
