The role
This newly created role has three primary focusses:

• the reduction of costs related to the management of a $70 million fleet.
• the improvement of the company’s delivery service across ANZ.
• the improvement of fleet safety.

The responsibilities
Your new role involves:

• Preparation of analysis to support your decisions related to the optimal timing of vehicle purchase, maintenance, replacement and disposal.
• Preparation of analysis to support your decisions related to vehicle purchase to response to increased business volumes.
• Preparation of business cases related to buy vs lease.
• Oversight of vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure peak fleet performance.
• Monitoring fleet operating and maintenance costs to identify trends and ensure costs are minimised.
• Monitoring fuel efficiency and negotiating attractive terms with suppliers.
• Responding to and resolving operational issues such as breakdowns, to mitigate the impact on supply chain operations.
• Maintenance of records related to vehicle purchase, registration, insurance, safety inspections and compliance to company and government regulatory standards.

The candidate
In order to be successful you will have:

• A track record of transformation as a fleet manager.
• Proven experience in analysis and modelling to arrive at sound commercial decisions.
• examples of how your critical and creative thinking has bought about change and solved problems.
• Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
