The Role
We are currently on the lookout for an experience full time Transport Supervisor across Monday to Friday with flexibility across Saturday to join our Distribution Centre based in Dandenong. This role will see you supervise and lead a team of drivers to ensure all Client’s restaurants are serviced by the DC in a timely and cost effective manner.
The Tasks
- Manage and lead a team of drivers and leading hands
- Produce and maintain driver route schedules
- Manage daily labour hours in conjunction with scheduled route hours and Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)
- Ensure a hazard free workplace through daily inspections and corrective actions
- Drive operations to ensure KPI’s are achieved
- Ability to step in and assist with operations team when required
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and HR Policies
The Successful Candidate
- Proven experience leading/developing a team
- Telematics and TMS systems experience preferred
- HC licence preferred, not essential
- Strong understanding of CoR and WHS
- Knowledge of food safety, DQMP and quality systems
