The role: Incorporating the requirements to effectively manage the daily operational tasks. Onsite Supervisor will actively work with the client warehouse provider to ensure freight is presented and handled effectively. Onsite supervisor will be required to manage the relationship between the client and Toll business including approved third party service providers.
It is vital that the Site Supervisor clearly understands the importance of the transportation and logistics services providers to consistently deliver the service expectations of the client to its customers on time in full at all times.
Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Maintain safety at the highest level and standards at all times.
- Effectively co-ordinate all outbound transport services.
- Daily checks to ensure arrival and departing times are met per agreed time schedule.
- Liaise daily with Business Manager on operational activity, foreseeable operational issues and or operational improvements.
- Manage and oversee freight packaging meets appropriate transportation standards.
- Establish & Collaborate daily level of professional standard, communication and working relationships staff at all times.
You will have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Transport Logistics industry
- The ability to solve problems and execute effective decisions
- Experience in leading, managing and mentoring a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong relationship building skills and working in a small team.
