Purchasing Officer for 12 month role with Multinational Company - Based SoR
This large multinational manufacturing company has a requirement for an experienced Purchasing Officer ideally with Oracle experience to assist them for a period of 12 months. Based in attractive offices near Cockburn (SoR) with onsite parking available this contract is expected to last at least 12 months with a possible extension.
The role:
- Full end to end procurement of parts and indirects for multiple sites across Perth from the preparation of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) through to issue of the PO in accordance with the applicable procedures
- Supporting the engineering managers you will have primary responsibility for the timely and cost effective selection of various suppliers
- Expedite the quotations and perform the commercial bid clarifications as required
- Prepare the Recommendation To Purchase and Commercial Bid Evaluation
- Prepare the Purchase Order, to monitor its timely issue and approval
- To expedite PO acknowledgement, Bank guarantee and milestone related commercial documents.
Technical Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Purchasing/Procurement
- Knowledge of shipping and customs
- Sourcing and expediting experience
- Solid technical background with the ability to interface with stakeholders and suppliers.
This job is paying $38 - $42ph + super and requires someone to start at relatively short notice. Applications from candidates with good knowledge or Oracle coupled with the above skills will be prioritised.
