The Role

As a result of recent growth we are seeking a highly motivated individual with customs compiling experience and a strong organisational skills to join our busy team Melbourne Airport team.

Position Summary:
This position is required to compile entries for clearance under the direction of the Customs Manager, and assist in the overall operation of the Department to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance of air, sea and post importations.


Departmental/Operational key responsibilities:

  • Compiling customs entries for miscellaneous importation or a nominated client base.
  • The Look-up and creation of owner/supplier codes in ICS.
  • Compiling / inputting of shipment details into the Expedient system.
  • Requesting documentation from clients where required.
  • Updating parts and TLF database as directed by a broker.
  • Accurately updating systems databases with appropriate information.


Competencies and Skills required:

  • Extensive experience working with Customs Tariff
  • Knowledge of Air Freight and Ocean Freight customs clearance process
  • Strong Expedient and Excel knowledge
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
