Technician/Storeperson - Mechanical

Our multinational client is a leader in their field, providing planetary geared power transmission products to a vast range of industries. Due to consistent growth of the business, they are seeking an addition to their team, a Technician/Storeperson, to be based in their south east Melbourne site.
 
 
The role
 
If you love all things mechanical, you will enjoy the opportunity to gain skills in assembling and testing planetary gearboxes. Learn how to troubleshoot, identify and rectify faulty products, carry out necessary tests and ensure standards are met. You will be trained, supervised and supported by experienced and qualified personnel.
 
You will also reign over the warehouse, managing receipt, storage, selection and dispatch of all products. Working hours are 8.30am - 5pm negotiable to an earlier start and finish time.
 
As you develop, the role will include training in customer sales enquiries, opening up future career opportunities including internal and external sales, if that is your desire.
 
To be successful, you must have:

• A forklift and car license - essential
• Strong mechanical aptitude or mechanical skills
• Stores experience including receipt, dispatch and general warehouse duties
• Good communication skills
• Enjoy working in a team
• Basic IT skills
• Good character and work ethic
• Commitment to safety

As a truly valued employee, you will be rewarded with a salary relevant to your experience ranging from $55,000 - $65,000, superannuation, paid overtime (as needed), effective training by a team of people who want to see you succeed.
